Teamwork

Earlier this week we marked ראש חודש אֱלוּל - the beginning of the new month Elul. In Israel that means that it is the start of the new school year.

With the new school year comes a whole new range of חוגים - after school clubs (a חוג means a class and you can find out more about the etymology of the word here). I have started running my very own חוג and we had our very first session yesterday.

For part of the session, I was discussing with the children:

What do we need for good teamwork?

This post will be dedicated to answering that question.

For those taking (or teaching) the Modern Hebrew GCSE, this topic of teamwork can be tied in with 3.1.1.3 Topic 3: Free-time activities (particularly sporting activities).

1) Listen to other people's ideas -

Different people can contribute different things -

2) Help each other - לעזור זה לזה

 3) Trust each other - לסמוך זה על זה

4) Make sure that everyone is included -

5) You need a plan and strategy -
